Marble
Our Little Old Lady Kitty
She was a black tabby. She would have been 17-years-old in April.
We had to put her to sleep on March 28th. Her condition had
deteriorated quickly during the two weeks leading up to the day.
It was a difficult decision to make, but it was the most humane thing
that we could do for her.

We adopted her as a stray kitten in Raleigh. Since then she has lived
in four states and has always dealt well with the change.
She
was diagnosed with a heart condition when she was six years old.
The vets told us that she would probably die from it in a couple of
years. Well, she survived for another 10 years. She had
hyperthyroidism and had lost a lot of weight, but she kept going.
It was time to say good-bye. We had her privately cremated
so that we can keep her ashes at home with us.
